Chapter 1

Zachary Ashwood, the most feared Mafia Boss and respected CEO of Ashwood Conglomerate in the country, sat on the luxurious couch in his opulent office, the blue skies outside a stark contrast to his inner turmoil.

Taking a glass of whiskey he sips it slowly remembering his wife who had left him after his betrayal leaving behind only the divorce agreement with her signature on it. The divorce papers on the desk untouched.

3 years since she had left him; three years since his regret and three years since his obsession that was bordering madness. Even after checking everywhere in the country he wasn't able to find her and he, but all wanted to burn down the world to get her back in his arms where she belonged.

As he chugs down another glass of whiskey his phone buzzes with a message from one of his men. Lazily checking his phone, as he reads the text, his eyes darken with obsession as a feral smile makes his lips.

"My love."

She was here. His wife was back in the country. And he'd be damned if he let her go now.

On the other hand Samantha was at her favorite café sipping her beloved hot coffee while staring out of the floor to ceiling glass window of the elegant café. The blue skies give her the calm she desires and the peace which has been constant for the past 3 years.

Her beautiful hazel eyes keep locked onto the skies and clouds and with every blink her lashes flutter. Her eyes had a sparkle like never before and a small smile tugged at her lips. Unknown to her a pair of sky blue eyes were staring at her with such dark intent.

Zachary, his sharp gaze fixated on the café's window, watched as she stepped inside and sat by the window. Seeing his wife after three years, sipping coffee as she watched the blue skies, something feral ignited in him, his body tensing as he controlled himself.

He had waited for months to get the news of her return and everything in him was screaming to cross that distance, take her into his arms and kiss her until she was gasping for breath but he suppressed the urge, needing to see her reaction first. As he continued watching, his fingers itched to reach out and touch her, to feel her skin beneath his fingers once again, to pull her against his body and hold her close. But he held back, watching as she sat, sipping her coffee, a mixture of emotions coursing through him.

His gaze darkened further, the obsession that he had harbored for years now becoming all the more intense. The thought of letting her go again was not an option. Zachary's eyes took in every movement, his heart clenching at the sight of her sparkling eyes and the smile that graced her lips as she enjoyed her coffee.

Each sip she took, each movement of her fingers, the way her eyes lit up...It all served to further fuel the intense feelings within him. The sight of her was both a sweet torment and a beautiful agony, making the obsession that he harbored roar to life.

He fought the urge to barge in and scoop her into his arms. A growl low in his throat as he watched her, his fists clenching at his sides, the possessive need to claim her rising up.

But despite his overwhelming desire, he kept himself in check, his eyes following her every move, drinking in the sight of her sparkling eyes and the way she relished the coffee. His mind was filled with a single thought — he had to have her back. He would not let her go again.

While his eyes stay fixed on her; she feels a gaze of her as if drilling a hole into her with such intensity leaving her confused. Her eyes moved away from the sky and down in search of whoever was staring at her. As her gaze locks onto the familiar manly figure, her eyes widen as she freezes while a spark of recognition ignites in Zachary's dark gaze.

Time seemed to stand still as his eyes locked with hers, the years of pain, regret and obsessive need written in every inch of his tense body. But there was also a hint of relief in his gaze, seeing her in front of him after so long. His fist clenched as he fought the desire to cross the distance between them and pull her into his arms.

His heart hammered against his chest as he stared at you, his eyes taking in every inch of her freezing form, seeing the recognition in her eyes and the way your fingers trembled slightly. It was a sight he both missed and desperately wanted to change.

He watched as her body tensed and knew that she too recognized him, even at this distance. His eyes darkened to a dangerous hue as his body tensed further, his every instinct screaming at him to reach out and touch her, to hold her close, to claim what was rightfully his.

As she snaps back she quickly keeps the cup down onto the table as she stands up in horror. Every single moment coming to her in waves makes her turn and run further into the café. Her goal; escape him. Zachary's body went rigid, his heart clenching in his chest.

His jaw clenched tightly, his mind whirling with the realization that she was running from him. He took a slow step forward, watching her retreating form, anger and pain mingling within him. He would not let her escape him again. Not this time.
